Tents for All Seasons and Reasons

As cities continue to make their way through the reopening phases, it is important for businesses to remain flexible. We are excited to partner with Downtown West Palm Beach to provide restaurants with the assistance they need to thrive during this transitional period.

Dining on The Spot

Phase 1 of reopening in Florida allows for restaurants to function at 50% capacity. As part of the effort to support the local economy, Downtown West Palm Beach created Dining on the Spot, an outdoor dining experience for restaurants in its downtown area allowing for expanded seating capacity. Following appropriate social distancing guidelines, we transformed downtown with tents, umbrella tables, and more to create a unique ambiance for each restaurant’s space. Sidewalks have been widened and some streets have been closed to create more outdoor dining opportunities. Alleyways and parking lots are soon to follow, expanding seating capacity further and allowing the community to enjoy their dining experiences once again. This long-term program comes at no cost to the restaurants and ensures CDC guidelines are in place while supporting community safety.

5 Common Questions About Event Rental Installations

When considering tents for weddings and events, it’s important to know what to expect with the installation process, specifically timeline and pricing. We know that the foundation for a successful event lies in the preparation and planning, so we want to help simplify the installation process by answering the 5 most common questions that we receive.

Do you set up and break down the rental products?

Our delivery/ pick-up teams will set up and break down several of our rental products at no additional charge, including tents, bars, cooking equipment, dance floors, staging, and lighting. We can perform chair setup and breakdown, as well as table setup and breakdown services at an additional cost. Those services can be added at any point in the process before delivery.

What is your standard rental period?

The price of our rental equipment includes a 72-hour rental period. Should you need to keep our products longer than 72 hours, additional charges will apply.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we do offer delivery. When you request a delivery, you will be given either a morning (8 am-12 pm) or an afternoon (1 pm-6 pm) delivery window. Delivery rates will vary depending on delivery specifics and location.

What do I need to do to get ready for you to install the tent rental?

When installing a tent, the first step our crews take is to spread it flat on the ground in the area where it will be. Please have this area completely clear of obstructions before we arrive at the job site.

How will my tent be secured?

Grass – when setting up your tent, we typically drive a 42” stake into the grass in 2 places at each corner and 1 at each additional leg. The stakes will be approximately 4 feet away from the tent, with a white strap running from the top of the tent to the stake itself.

Asphalt – We will have to drill 1.5” diameter holes at each place that we need a stake. We can then drive our stakes in the ground, just the same as if we were setting up on grass. When we come back to pick up the tent, we will patch all holes with either asphalt patches or a plug.

Concrete – We will drill ½” diameter holes to secure your tent with concrete anchors. Our straps will run from the top of the tent down to the concrete anchors. When we pick up the tent, we will patch all holes with concrete patches, however we cannot guarantee an exact color match.

Other – If your tent is going on any surface that we are not allowed to drill through or drive stakes, we secure your tent with either cement weights or 55-gallon water barrels. To ensure that we have the proper equipment on-site, please contact us prior to booking your event. There will be an additional fee to secure any tent that we cannot stake.

Top 5 Reasons to Rent a Graduation Tent

tables-and-chairs-1-bWhen planning a graduation party for your son or daughter, there is a long list of items that need to be completed. One of the more popular items on that list is throwing a graduation party. Celebrating this huge milestone and accomplishment is fun for the graduates and the adults. The not-so-fun part is the planning, cleaning, organizing, inviting and the unknowns, like how much food do I need, where will I have the party, how can I accommodate all of these guest.

One idea that is very popular for graduation parties is having the party at your house and having a tent in your driveway or yard.
We listed the Top 5 reasons, we have heard from our Florida customers on why they wanted to rent a tent for their son or daughters graduation party:
1. Add Shelter for any types of weather: Tents can add shelter for a hot sun and if it rains. Florida for example, has been known to have unpredictable weather. Occasionally this is the most common first – thought on why anyone would rent a tent but we believe the next 4 are the most important reasons for the renting a graduation party tent.

2. Adds an Extension to your home to accommodate more guest: gradation party tents are a great way to add a temporary extension and extra square footage to your house for the party. You can add anywhere from 400 sq ft to 4000 depending on how big your party and yard are. It’s completely up to you.

3. Keeps Guest Outside and your house clean: Having a tent outside will keep your guest outside. By keeping your guest outside this will reduce the foot traffic in your house which will in turn, reduce the amount of cleaning you will have to do in the house on the Sunday or Monday after the party.

4. Overflow for unexpected guest (FB and Social Media): Facebook and Social Media has changed the way parents are planning for their graduation parties. There’s typically not an RSVP for these types of invites. Typically the graduates or graduates friends post a status update like “Lindsay’s graduation party, 6-1-13, starting at 6, bring whoever”. This makes it difficult to plan for unanswered questions: Who will show up, how many will show up, will they stay long, will they eat? Having a tent outside helps accommodate for the unknown guest.

5. It’s just fun to have one: Nothing says you’re having a party like a tent. Think about it, every time you drive in a neighborhood and see a nice tent, you think to yourself, “they must be having a party!” Not only are they functional but they set the mood for the party and guest. They add a flare to your event. They provide an area for people to mingle, eat and drink.
Our list above of the top 5 reasons why our customers rented a tent for their son or daughter’s graduation party hopefully helped.
